Begun as an experiment in 1918, the churches formally federated in 1920. During the next decades the church has served as a witness to Christian unity.

Those attending The United Churches find a respect for diversity and a oneness in Jesus Christ that is far greater than denominational differences. All are encouraged to know, grow in, and show God's love through a variety of worship, learning, mission, music, and service experiences.
